Extreme Water Damage to a Monroe Home

This beautiful two-story colonial home in Monroe was unoccupied and prepared for a remodel. Disaster struck when a frozen pipe burst spewing water for several days until discovered. Our SERVPRO team arrived for the cleanup and restoration of this 80% water damaged structure. The controlled demolition of the non-salvageable building materials was further complicated by the presence of lead-based paint. The drywall panels were torn out while our crew wore PPE--personal protection equipment. The Before Photo depicts where "x" marks the spots of deep saturation followed by the second picture of the exposed framing. After discarding the debris, our technicians set up air movers and dehumidifiers. Following many days of moving the equipment and measuring the RH relative humidity and the specific humidity, drying goals were achieved. The documented results were given to our customer, and the structure was now ready to be passed on to the general contractor for the remodel.
